Interests

Siliciclastic sequence stratigraphy

At UNL, I conducted a sequence stratigraphic study of the Frontier Formation in the Eastern Bighorn Basin of North central Wyoming. I am most interested in siliciclastic sequence stratigraphy with an additional focus on the use of trace fossils in determining the depostional environment of a rock unit. The Frontier Formation is among the largest oil and gas producers in the state of Wyoming, additional understanding of the Frontier's depositional environment should lead to better reservoir models and contribute to further resolve sequence stratigraphic models.
