I am a PhD student advised by Dr. John Gates in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. My research area is the role of unsaturated zone hydrology on groundwater recharge in grassland afforestation. My current research site is Halsey National Forest, which is the largest man-made forest in the United States, located in the semi-arid Nebraska Sand Hills.
