During my time at UNL, I was involved in the ANDRILL program as a sequence stratigrapher. In addition to core examination, I conducted a detailed grain-size analysis using a laser-derived particle analyzer. Determining changes in grain-size is shown to be an effective way of revealing sea-level changes during a basin's depositional history. In conjunction with a sequence stratigraphic interpretation, I was able to use this dataset to reconstruct and quantify sea level fluctuations in response to climate change during the Miocene.

Currently, I am a geologist at Chevron in Bakersfield, CA.
