My previous work during my Master's thesis was focused on the sedimentology, stratigraphy, and cartography of the Permian and Triassic deposits in the Luang Prabang area (Laos). We found the presence of a massive late Triassic volcaniclastic series that were deposited during a period of active volcanic activity previously undocumented. After completing my thesis, I taught for a few months at Soran Univeristy (Iraqi Kurdistan).

I am currently working on the paleotropical response to the dynamic Late Paleozoic Ice Age. By combining field work, subsurface data and thin sections analysis, I am looking to provide a detailed facies analysis and sequence stratigraphic framework for the Tensleep and Amsden formations (Mississippian-Pennsylvanian) in the Bighorn Basin (northern Wyoming). By highlighting changes in stratigraphic style and deciphering the paleoclimatic significance of this succession, this project will bring new insight into the low-latitude record of Gondwanan glaciations.
